Move Caddy specializes in interstate moves that are too small for traditional van lines but too important to trust to a broker. One binding price. One dedicated caddy. One less thing to worry about.
We do the lifting. Literally and administratively. Packing, wrapping, paperwork, the whole thing.
Virtual survey. Binding quote in writing. No surprises at delivery. Not one dollar more than the number we wrote down.
The same person owns your move from quote to delivery. 24/7 support. A scheduled arrival time, not a spread.
You arrive settled, not exhausted. That is what we get paid for. That is the only thing we get paid for.
Van lines are excellent at what they were built for. A typical broker connects shippers to whoever takes the load. Move Caddy operates a different lane entirely. Here is how the three compare on the six things the person actually asks about.
| Van lines | Typical broker | Move Caddy | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Points of contact | Multiple | Multiple | One dedicated caddy |
| Price certainty | Often variable | Variable | Binding, in writing |
| Small-shipment focus | Adjusted | Rarely primary | Primary lane |
| Binding quote | Sometimes | Rarely | Always, every move |
| Dedicated coordinator | Usually no | No | Yes, start to finish |
| Delivery window | Wide spread | Wide spread | Definite date |
Your caddy sees this dashboard. You see the same status any time you ask. Same data. Same source of truth. No shipment ever goes dark.
The mockup above is the individual shipment view. This is the room. Live map on the wall. On-time performance running the whole time. Every coordinator has line-of-sight to the schedule and to every shipment in transit.
The room does not exist to look impressive. It exists so that when your call comes in, the person who answers already knows where your truck is.
The truckload made sense for a whole household on a fifty-three-foot trailer. It made almost no sense for the 3,000 pounds of a single professional's move, or the empty-nester downsizing, or the retiree headed closer to grandkids.
Those moves got wide spreads, variable prices, and phone trees. We built the opposite operation. One rate. One date. One caddy. Every time.
Eight thousand pounds or one lamp, we treat every shipment like it is the only one on the truck. Because that is exactly how we run the operation.
See all twelve segments →Every mover promises a quote. We promise a number. The one we write down is the one you pay. No surcharge at pickup. No adjustment at delivery. No fine-print math.
People underestimate what a bad move actually costs. Not the quote. The total. Here is what a broken move looks like on paper, and what a bound rate prevents before it happens.
Extra temp housing. Missed first day of work. Rescheduled deliveries you have to be there for.
Replacement cost is easy to price. The heirloom that broke isn't. Coverage limits are how you find out which is which.
Fuel surcharge. Extra flight of stairs. Long-carry fee. Accessorials you never saw on the quote.
Nobody answers. The truck is somewhere. The driver's number goes to voicemail. You end up chasing your own shipment.
An interstate move on our standard schedule. Faster if we have the lane. Same shape either way. Every date on this timeline goes in writing before you sign anything.
Ten-minute virtual walkthrough. Or a web inventory form.
One document. One number. All in. Valid forty-eight hours.
Four-hour window. Same caddy on the phone through the day.
Definite date. Unpack, assembly, and debris removal included.
Ten minutes for the survey. Twenty-four hours for the binding quote. Then a date on the calendar and a caddy on the phone until the last box lands.
Video walkthrough with a caddy from your phone, or a quick web inventory. No home visit required for shipments under eight thousand pounds.
One document. One number. All in. Fuel, insurance, sixty days of storage if you want it. Valid forty-eight hours from the moment we send it.
Four-hour pickup window, not an all-day wait. Arrival on a specific date. Same caddy on the phone start to finish.
You are the coordinator. Your executive lands Monday. Your CHRO wants a smooth report and a happy employee. Your finance team wants a clean invoice.
We become your caddy the same way we become the employee's caddy. At your side. Reading the course. No surprises for anyone.
Move Caddy is a family business that happens to work coast to coast. We do not run call centers. We do not route you through five queues. Every shipment gets one caddy. The one who quoted you is the one who picks up when you call the day of.
That is not a marketing sentence. It is the whole operating model. It is why our binding quote holds. Because the person who wrote it is the person who has to make it true.
Documentary photography from the Houston hub. Real crews, real trucks, real shipments in transit. Every one of these moments is happening right now for someone's move.
Every mile between here and there is a small act of trust. That is why one person owns your move from the first call to the last box. Same voice on the phone. Same signature on the quote. Same commitment to the date.
They told me the number on Tuesday. It was the number on the invoice on Friday. That never happens.
Same person answered every call. I do not think that has happened to me in ten years of moving vendors.
I was expecting the usual delivery-week phone call about additional fees. It never came. The move was just done.
Interstate, contiguous 48. Alaska and Hawaii through partner network. International through our IAM member network. The lanes are constant. The rate holds regardless of which two states are the endpoints.
If your question is not here, call. A caddy will answer.
It means the number on the quote is the number on the invoice. We do not add a fuel surcharge at delivery. We do not adjust for extra flights of stairs at pickup. If the actual weight comes in more than ten percent higher than the estimate, we re-quote before we load the truck, not after. You keep the option to cancel with no penalty.
Full valuation coverage on every shipment, up to fifty thousand dollars declared value, at no additional cost. That means we cover the current replacement value of any item lost or damaged, or the cost to repair it. This is real coverage, not the sixty-cents-per-pound federal minimum. Higher declared values are available for larger declared amounts.
If your new place is not ready, we hold your shipment at our destination warehouse for up to sixty calendar days. No charge for the storage. No charge for warehouse handling in or out. No charge for redelivery inside the destination metro. After day sixty, storage converts to standard rates, which we spell out in the quote before you sign anything.
Yes. Same promise, at program scale. A named caddy for the account, one monthly invoice, vendor packet on request, and one-page reporting your CHRO can actually read. Program rates are negotiated at agreement and hold through the program year. See the mobility teams section above for the full picture.
Coast to coast in ten days on our standard schedule. Faster if you need it and we have the lane. Pickup on a four-hour window on a specific day. Arrival on a specific date. If we miss the confirmed window, the delay credit is written into the quote before you sign it.
Yes, through our IAM member network. Same binding quote model, adjusted for customs and destination-country regulations. Call for the international quote workflow; the timeline runs a little longer than domestic.
